About

Washington State is sick. Restoring county control is the remedy. Time is of the essence as NGOs, charities, non-profits, and private citizens look to be working to secure financial benefit by participating in Federal and State sanctioned trafficking of illegals. Recent rule changes to the governance specified by the 30 year old Growth Management Act pushes a woke agenda.

Plans are underway to prepare for the introduction of illegal aliens (undocumented persons, migrant workers, or simply “others”) to the Stevens County area.

The foundations of many current problems were laid in 1993 when the Growth Management Act (GMA) was voluntarily adopted by Stevens County Commissioners. What started in good faith to address ways to accommodate growth has been altered by the same activists that took control of the state government.

We’re also going to have commitment as Democrats to make progress on climate, equity, and racial justice. The Democratic Caucus priorities are Covid relief, racial justice, budget, and climate. Clearly reforms to GMA cover those priorities.

Whether intentionally or unwittingly, county and city officials continue to consent to the updated GMA rules. The GMA is the means of centralized control of many aspects of county and city governance through grant stipulations that explicitly require GMA compliance.

Additionally, state and federal money are being granted to non-government organizations (NGOs), specifically to Catholic Charities. In turn, these NGOs grant funds to local non-profits such as Tri-County Community Health Fund and others to build affordable housing “for the homeless”.

In the documents linked, evidence is presented that shows land purchases, project descriptions, project proposals to the city to build subdivisions, and public articles written.

What prevents the inclusion of illegals when they tell you they are serving the “homeless”?

There can be no doubt that massive numbers of people have entered our country illegally in the past three years. This influx has resulted in a flood of people who do not work or contribute to the overall tax base, which results in taxes being raised exponentially on the citizens of the United States and in Stevens County.

Regardless of your political affiliation, it is our right and responsibility as citizens to know from our local elected officials how these NGOs and local not-for-profit organizations are going to utilize these monies.

There are NGOs, charities, non-profits, and private citizens who stand to benefit from these grants. So far, these individuals have been unwilling to be transparent about the use of these funds, who will be housed, and where they will be housed. Therefore, it is incumbent upon them to clearly explain to local citizens their plans and the impact those plans will have on our county.

Why is the focus of “help” on providing shelter and food, while encouraging the continuance of substance abuse behavior?

Although these plans have been in motion for some time, we can turn this around before it is too late. We must hold accountable our local politicians and private citizens who are involved in these projects by forcing them to be transparent, educating ourselves and our neighbors about the GMA, and going to the polls to vote out the politicians who are addicted to grant money that have strings attached.

We ask that you look into this for yourselves and not simply take our word for it. Continue on to explore the issues
